From May 6th to May 7th, 2022 we spent our company outing to the full in the Donauschlinge river resort (Haibach an der Donau, Upper Austria).
On Friday, immediately after arriving at the hotel, we all got on the e-bike and dared to cycle until just before Passau.
We visited the Danube power plant Jochenstein, which is located directly at the border of Germany and Austria. There was a big WOW! moment when a Swiss cruise ship wanted to go from Austria to Germany.
The weather was ideal for our trip, but on the way back it started raining again.
We went back by bike on the other side of the Danube, so that in the end we could take the bike ferry directly and then be transferred to the hotel.
Because of the rain, an extensive visit to the sauna was necessary when we arrived at the hotel.
Some employees ended up in the adjacent wellness area (indoor pool), while many enjoyed the high temperatures in the sauna area.
In the evening we ended the day with an extensive dinner (from the buffet).
On Saturday morning, the weather unfortunately put a damper on our plans, which is why we started our journey home to Carinthia around noon.
